At the Memory Care Learning Center, our free events and educational sessions are designed to support those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia — as well as their caregivers, both family and professional. Families can be overwhelmed by the diagnosis of a loved one and often feel unprepared. Dementia care professionals also need support in the further development of their careers. Both groups can find comfort in sharing with others who are experiencing a similar journey. The goal of the Center is to nurture a person-centered, compassionate approach to dementia care, which includes the essential elements of friendship: respect, empathy, support, trust and humor.
